"The path of wisdom consists in inquiring, analyzing, meditating, and experimenting. Truth is not a matter of accepting or rejecting, it is something to experience, live, and understand." - Fundamental Education, Samael Aun Weor
The word "GNOSIS" is a Greek term which refers to "knowledge". In particular, it refers to "knowledge through experience" - especially that which concerns experience of the divine.
Unlike most religions which require a certain level of belief - Gnosis encourages one to be open minded, and to neither doubt nor believe - but to practically experience the truth for oneself through direct application of exercises that can enable the deepest understanding.
Gnosis has little to do with the memorization of endless theories and so-called "facts" and figures - but is all about directly experiencing the truth for oneself, so that one can know.
There is almost no area of life, inner or outer, that is not covered by Gnostic teachings - and through certain techniques and practices one can arrive at direct comprehension of truth.
Through Gnostic lessons one may also awaken to their fullest spiritual potential, activating all of their psychic powers, to directly access other dimensions of reality from which our entire world view can be radically modified. It teaches profound psychological insight. The Oracle of Delphi stated: "Know thyself, and thou shalt know the universe and it's gods".
One of the most prolific and profound authors/teachers on the subject of Universal Gnosis is "Samael Aun Weor" (who is seen in the photograph above). Starting with the publication of his book entitled "The Perfect Matrimony" in 1950, he proceeded to write more than sixty books on just about every major spiritual topic. Each of these books are rich with practical techniques and exercises to bring about clear and tangible experiences for the individual.
He once spent 5 days in jail for "committing the crime of healing the sick". His diary entries from prison during that time can be read in "Secret Notes of a Guru".
A near-complete bibliography of his works in PDF format can be freely downloaded below.
No reader is expected to blindly believe in anything that is written here, but is encouraged rather to try the techniques and discover for yourself, only that which is genuine and true.
Information may at times even be given in its opposite form, so as to weed out the theorists from the Gnostics. What is important is to study, experiment, practice, and finally to KNOW!
Where to Begin? An "Introduction to Gnosis" is the best starting point, if you have never read any Gnostic text before. Some of the information in this is from "How to Win Friends and Influence People" - but there are truly great beginners practices related to everyday situations in life to do with love, health, and money. It consists of 8 lessons including such things as exercises to move things with your mind, astral projection techniques, developing your clairvoyance, and so on.
"Fundamental Education" is another great starting point which will re-evaluate everything you have ever learned in any schooling system, freeing your mind from all indoctrination, and teaching you the keys to real knowledge.
If you would like to more deeply understand precisely how to go about the very advanced techniques in "Aztec Christic Magic", with step by step instructions - then consult PART IV of Jeremy Garner's "Faerie Magic" book. Part IV outlines his personal experiences in following through with the techniques given in Aztec Magic, providing practical and direct explanations of how to do each exercise in the most effective way possible - with descriptions of results.
